Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day “Inspiring Women in Art: An Exhibition”

Dear Friends,
On behalf of the International Women’s Association (IWA) of Skopje we would like to invite you to join us on Thursday March 3rd and celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day with the launch of a week-long-exhibition and sale of paintings by Lidija Sazdovska, a renowned and inspirational Macedonian artist.

The IWA is extremely grateful for Lidija’s continued support of its charitable efforts (most recently with her participation in the 2010 IWA Wine and Cheese Fundraiser), and alongside the Macedonian Welcome Center is proud to join together in a celebration of Women. Around 30 of Lidija’s works, framed oils on canvass, will be on display and for sale with prices ranging from 300-3000 euro. A portion of all sales will go towards the IWA’s charitable fund. (Please see the attached catalogue for more information)

Co-hosted by, and at, the Welcome Macedonia Centre (see attached map for directions), the exhibition opening will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 3rd. The show will then run to Thursday March 10th and will be open to the public for viewing between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily (weekdays only). Anyone interested in purchasing paintings or arranging a separate time to view Lidija’s work must request a private appointment.

We anticipate more than 50 guests over the course of the opening night, and kindly request that you RSVP by midday Wednesday March 2nd your intent on joining us, as the exhibition hall space and seating is limited.

We are extremely grateful for Stobi Winery’s and Traikovsky Wine Brandy’s sponsorship of this event in providing a small selection of wines and brandy to accompany and enhance our guests viewing pleasure. And, on behalf of the IWA charity partners, our members and friends, we look forward to seeing you on the 3rd and thank you for your support and recognition of 100 years of International Women Day!
