Wine and Rakija tastings

DMWC Evening Wine Club, Tuesday 31 March, 2015, at 19.30

Dear DMWC Friends,

Dobredojde Macedonia Welcome Centre is very happy to resume DMWC Evening Wine Club meetings. Taking place on March 31 from 7.30pm onwards in the Wine Cellars of the TCC Grand Plaza Hotel, this fun informal event will introduce guests to the Stanushina and Vranec Barrique wines from a small family owned Brusani Winery from the Tikves region of Macedonia.

The ticket price is 300 denars. All tickets will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a bottle of Brusani wine. Those interested in buying the wines, would be able to place their orders with the winery.

Future Wine Club events will take place on the last Tuesday of each month. We will aim to introduce our guests to the best Macedonian wines, including the products of some of the lesser-known small wineries.

We warmly invite you to join us, make new friends, and enjoy some great wine.

Please RSVP by responding to this email by 30 March so that we could organize the event for the right number of participants.

We look forward to seeing you at the Wine Club,

DMWC Executive Committee

The message from Brušani Winery:

“1938 was the year when for the first time the vines were planted by my family. The first variety chosen by my grandfather was the indigenous Stanushina grape. At that time he could not imagine that this resilient plant would become such a precious asset after 77 years. Even today, these same vines are giving us the grapes for our most original wine, ‘Angel 1938’, named after my grandfather who planted them.

Beside Stanushina in the list of our wines, there is Vranec Barrique, our first and most successful wine. The full bodied, but yet easily drinkable wine offering a full range of aromas, leaving a long lasting trace in the mouth as well as in the memory of the one who has a distinctive pleasure of tasting it.”
